“Τhe Institute for Byzantine Research of the National Hellenic Foundation announces the launch of its electronic journal BYZANTINA SYMMEIKTA. The new scientific practices and the latest developments in the publishing of research have led us to reevaluate the aims of ΣΥΜΜΕΙΚΤΑ, a journal that our Institute has published since 1966. In its new form, our journal is peer-reviewed and open-access, with well-defined scope and procedures. The journal now publishes articles as well as book reviews. The Institute is committed to maintaining high standards for the publications that appear in the journal while taking advantage of the possibilities offered by new technologies.” - The Editor Professor Taxiarchis G. BYZANTINA SYMMEIKTA now accepts papers for publication. To submit a paper for publication please register with the journal through the register link at the top menu bar. Then follow the simple five-step process to submit your paper. Guidelines for authors are available in the section about of the top menu bar. Past issues of the journal ΣΥΜΜΕΙΚΤΑ are now available in the section archive of the top menu bar. The entire series of ΣΥΜΜΕΙΚΤΑ will soon become available. |

| The open access peer-reviewed journal BYZANTINA SYMMEIKTA is part of the project ‘National Information System for Research and Technology, Phase III – Open Access Electronic Repositories and Journals’ which is being developed by the National Documentation Centre under the framework ‘Digital Greece’ (www.psifiakiellada.gr) and is 80% co-financed by the European Union - European Regional Development Fund and 20% by the Greek Public Domain (Operational Program for IS - OPIS, 3rd CSF 2000-2006). |
